I was born and brought up in Quetta, Pakistan. I completed my schooling from Convent then took admission in Science in Islamia Girls College. During that time I developed passion or call it love, for English Literature. I am a first woman in my family to step out of home to study at a university. I completed my bachelors in English from Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi. It wasn't an easy task, but it did pave way for other girls in my family. During university, I also took part in several PTV quiz and talk shows and won prizes and honorary certificates. I completed my degree after my marriage and then moved to Dubai with my husband. I am an ESL trainer by profession and also a writer. I have published two poetry books and my work has been published in several magazines too. Also, I am an editor with Madwolf Publishing and a founder of Zabeel Readers and Speakers' Club Dubai. I love books, coffee and anything made of chocolate. I have a wild soul, so I need an adventure once in every six months. People often say my work is dark and probably I am an unhappy soul, but if I start writing about my life, I might run out of creative ideas soon. My work is reflection of all the people I meet in everyday life. Being an ESL trainer I get to meet people who are from different cultures and background. Some leave their stories behind which get mixed with my emotions turn into words I write. Apart from language, I also teach Creative Writing and one of my students got his first book published after the completion of course.
