In this story the author explained one of the important issue of the society which is judging people on the colour of their skin. This is fact that we can not judge anyone on the colour of their skin.So why we are trying to do that?

This story deals with the issue of racism which is nowadays on its peak.Noone is superior by race, color or creed. We should stop racism, its a disease. In this racist society we should say no to racism. We may have different religions, different languages, different skin colors but we all belong to one human race.

The story doesn't only seems inspired from the fairy tail (Snow-white) but even the complete copy of that by only changing the characters.
Rather it is inspired from another story but still it doesn't convey the story as well, as the Snow-white.
The using of Magic mirror, Killings own daughter, Selling fruits, mercy of killer and many other scenes of this story make one to realise the same scenes in Snow-white.
The End was somewhat Good but it exaggerate the king's character more then the Chestnut. As it was a happy ending but still it could be improved by adding thrill, drama and realistic figurations.

Sometimes all you need is a powerful quote to lift your spirit. At a time when it's evident that change is necessary to address the racial injustice and this short story was definitely an example for how society treats people....We have lived in a society that differentiate people on the basis of their skin colour or status ... This story is an eye opening story for those young girls that suffer racism on daily basis...In a racist society, it is not enough to be non-racist. We must be anti-racist.It doesn't matter who you are, where you come from. The ability to triumph begins with you — always.

The story is a good effort by the author. The racisms part is good but i don't think it should apply to his daughter because she is his own flesh and blood' he is a little unfair here. The king was just an ordinary man not a wizard , how come he had a talking mirror. during all this scenario the queen just happens to be nowhere. The twist in the climax of the story was good and not relatable.

The story aptly deals with the grave issue of racism and sexism followed by an effective moral. Women have faced racial and sexual discrimination for eons. It was indeed empowering to see a POC break free from the stereotypical misogynistic portrayal of women.
The stroy was definitely worth reading. A refreshing twist to the superficial story of "Snow White". The story of "Chestnut" is free from the typically constructed standards of beauty, the need of a prince charming and rivalry among women.

An amazing story which revolves around a dark skinned princess Chestnut. In my opinion, the author wants to draw the attention of the reader through a gripping story towards an important issue of the society, which is judging people on the color of their skin. I like the idea of the story as it is an interesting story with a moral lesson. I think the author wants to break the stereotype that females are not so wiser gender. I would recommend everyone to read this enlightening story

The story focuses on the very modern problem, that is faced by many members of different diverse communities. The crux of the story was that no matter what your color is, no matter what gender, what role you admire but what matters is what is inside you and how compassionate you are for other people. We are created by God who has supreme authority over us
So who are we to discriminate on behalf of color, race, nationality and gender. Our world will become a better place for everyone the day we will start accepting each others differences.

The writer illustrate this story To end this racism which still exist in our society this is due to lack of uneducation and the people who are still living in the early eras mind set. As by the god blessing everyone is blessed with different qualities the people just judge human by the race, color and cast . I just love this story just because it just gives the human to end this racism . And i just want to say that everyone should change their mind set . As we all are living in this 21st century . DO read it .

A very simple but a strong idea has been shared in this short story.like God has created this world and in this beautiful world created beautiful things and blessed each and everything with a particular talent and qualities, then who we are to judge and degrade each other, we should always be grateful and thankful to God Almighty for whatever he has blessed us with.Being ungrateful is a great sin we should serve these talents and qualities for the welfare of humanity it will be healthy for us as well as for our surroundings

A wonderful message have been conveyed in this short story like God has created this beautiful world and in this beautiful world he created various things ,every thing has its own importance. We should always be grateful and pleased whatever God has granted us.We should never get envy from others because all we can get is the destruction of our own mental and physical health.
