Desire is a raw and haunting poetry collection that explores love, loss, betrayal, and the fragile search for inner peace. Through intimate, unfiltered verses, Samar Malik captures the emotional chaos of longing and survival where pain and hope coexist.

“I’m free yet I’m trapped,

here to laugh but I cried.”

A deeply personal journey for readers who find beauty in vulnerability and truth in brokenness.

Samar Malik

Samar is an accomplished MPhil student in International Relations at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. Her insightful research culminated in a thesis exploring the complex dynamics of "Iran and US Relations." Yet, her creative journey began long before academia—art has always been her first passion, whether through the written word or vibrant brushstrokes. Her mastery in abstract art earned her the prestigious first prize nationwide in Pakistan.

Beyond her artistic and academic pursuits, the author has made a significant mark as an educator, initially at the International School of Islamabad and later as a lecturer at Hamdard University, Islamabad. Now settled in Dubai, she embraces life as a devoted mother, spending her days nurturing her children and finding solace in the beauty of poetry
