Born in Hyderabad and residing in Karachi, Fatima Ahmed is an aspiring poet and writer. She has been composing poems since high school and enjoys spending her time writing and looking out the windows. Having spent 15 years in the UAE, she describes herself as a walking Middle Eastern Encyclopedia. Writing is her favorite escape from reality and helps her unwind the stress of everyday life. Besides publishing her first book entitled Dwells (originally in 2021, by Daastan Publications), she has received numerous awards in poetry, essays, and story-writing contests, including being ranked in the top five for NUST PNEC’s Literary Fest (2017) with her poem When Love Is Gone. A graduate of the University of Karachi in the field of journalism, she is determined to make it big in the world of publishing. Currently, she is working as a Content Specialist in the E- book Department at InterSys Ltd., Karachi, Pakistan.
