Alesha Faraz is a Pakistani writer, youth advocate, and founder whose work centers on childhood, social development, and the ways communities endure rupture and rebuild meaning. Her writing is shaped by a deep sense of national belonging and responsibility, informed by family memory, lived experience, and sustained engagement with Pakistan’s history. She began writing at a young age, drawn to stories at the intersection of loss, resilience, and care. Her first book, Tears of an Orphan, written at thirteen, emerged alongside her work in education advocacy and reflected her longstanding commitment to children whose lives are shaped by instability and neglect. She is the founder of Educating Our Future, an initiative focused on restoring orphanage-linked schools, rebuilding libraries, and creating learning environments grounded in dignity and care.

Alesha is currently studying Social Developmental Studies at Aga Khan University, with academic interests in early childhood development, developmental psychology, and community-based education. Her academic work informs her writing, particularly her attention to children’s inner lives and the quiet ways trauma is carried through habit, silence, and adaptation. She has been actively involved in public advocacy for education reform and child rights, with her work and voice featured on Geo News, FM 91, Express Tribune, and The News International.

Writing from Karachi, she believes Pakistan is best understood through the lives of its people, and that remembering honestly is both an intellectual and moral responsibility. At nineteen, she continues to write, research, and build toward a future shaped by education, care, and the conviction that stories, when held seriously, can carry a country forward.
